Bears are the huge fur balls that live in the forest. They are omnivorous animals and in many ways resemble humans. Their foot marks are almost same as humans and they can walk on two legs. They are natural climbers and can climb trees for honey. Honey is their favorite dessert. Apart from honey they love eating fishes. They also eat other mammals, birds, rodents, etc.
They care for their family and live in packs. They are intelligent and use tools for hunting and playing. They are well known for their hibernation. Due to scarcity of food in winter they go into hibernation for months altogether during the winter season. All species of beard do not hibernate, but the giant Asiatic bears do hibernate and come out during the warm seasons to feed.
Many species of bears are in prowl in various parts of the world. Polar bear, Asiatic bear, brown and black bears, sloth bear, etc. The panda bear is the most beautiful looking ones and are found only in China. They feed on bamboos and consume about 13 kg of bamboo leaves a day. But due to human intervention in various forms, some bear species like pandas and kolas have become endangered. It’s high time we take some effort to save our furry friends.

Butterflies are God’s way of creating beautiful creatures like others in this world. They are flying insects with extremely beautiful artistic and scaly wings. Like all other insects, butterflies too have six jointed legs, three parts of body- head, the thorax (chest) and abdomen with attached tail in the end, a pair of antennae, exoskeleton and pair of compound eyes. The body of the butterfly is covered with small sensory hair. The four wings and six legs are connected to the thorax, that is, the chest. The thorax however contains muscles that enable the legs and the wings to move back and forth.
The wings of a butterfly are colorful, and covered with iridescent scales that overlap each other. Butterflies are able to fly only if their body temperature is above 86 degrees. They can keep themselves warm during winter and the color of their wings change as they age old. The lifecycle of a butterfly consist of four stages: Egg, Larva, Pupa and the Adult. Butterflies consume leaves as their food. As pretty as they sound their fastest flying rate is 30 mph and slowest would be 5 mph.

The most loved and awaited seasons among the four known seasons is the winter season. Everybody is overjoyed when the rains come to an end and the cold wind start blowing across. Winter season is occurs due to the shifting of the Earth’s axis in a hemisphere away from the sun. When it is winter in the northern hemisphere, it is summer in the southern hemisphere, and vice-versa. This season lasts for approximately three months. In areas where the temperatures fall to the extreme negatives, schools, colleges and offices have holidays, and people prefer staying inside their homes to feel warm.
Winter is also a season of festivals and weddings. Places where it does not snow and have moderate winter temperatures celebrate and utilize this season to the fullest. Festive holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve are celebrated during this season. People also prefer winter season to get married as compared to other seasons.
